Job Description: As a PV Solar Installer, you could be responsible for leading a team of installers in the efficient and timely installation of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems and Batteries on residential and commercial roofs. You will be expected to ensure high-quality workmanship, adhere to safety standards, and meet project deadlines. This position requires excellent technical skills, leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities, depending on experience, can include:
· Lead a team of solar installers in the safe and efficient installation of PV solar systems on various types of roofs.
· Conduct pre-installation site visits to assess roof condition, measurements, shading, and other factors that may impact system performance.
· Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
· Install and mount solar panels, racking systems, inverters, and other necessary equipment following engineering plans and best practices.
· Perform electrical wiring, terminations, and interconnections, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues or challenges that may arise.
· Conduct quality inspections to ensure installations meet company standards and customer expectations.
· Maintain accurate records of installations, including photographs, documentation, and system specifications.
· Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior installers, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a PV Solar Installer, with a focus on roof installations.
· In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
· Strong understanding of electrical principles and wiring practices.
· Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and best practices, such as NEC and local building codes.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation issues effectively.
· Leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team of installers.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
· Ability to work at heights, on roofs, and in varying weather conditions.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
· Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a lead installer or foreman.
· OSHA certification or knowledge of safety protocols.

Pay: $20.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on experience, + bonus structure
