Position: Assistant Project Manager (APM)

Location: Sacramento, CA

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 base + quarterly bonus ($15K - $25K average/year), full benefits

Key Responsibilities

Support Project Managers from award through closeout

Drive the material procurement and fabrication process by coordinating with vendors, clients, and internal teams on scope, finish specs, appliance/equipment requirements, and production timelines

Track submittals, contracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation

Assist with procurement and logistics for materials and subcontracted scopes

Coordinate field activities to support installation and maintain alignment with project schedules

Maintain T&M and tracking logs; assist with samples and MSDS management

Participate in internal planning and external coordination meetings to support smooth project execution

Take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and strong organizational follow-through

Travel Requirement

Weekly travel to our Fremont facility is required during the 90-day probationary/training period

Travel to the Bay Area and Fremont will be required thereafter, as needed

All travel is reimbursed at the standard IRS mileage rate

What You Bring

Experience in construction, millwork, cabinetry, or related trades preferred

Proven experience in project management, preferably within the construction or related trades.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask

Tech proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam required; Procore a plus)

Strong communication and a team-first attitude

Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

What We Offer

Top Compensation: $75K - $90K base + company performance-based quarterly bonuses (avg. $15K - $25K/year, no cap)
