Packaging and boxing personnel are responsible for carefully packaging products in boxes or other containers in order to prepare them for shipment or storage. This job involves accurately labeling and organizing products, inspecting items for quality control, and ensuring that they are securely and neatly packed to prevent damage during transport.
Key responsibilities:
Receive products from production and determine appropriate packaging materials.
Inspect items for quality control and ensure they meet company standards.
Package products according to specific instructions or guidelines.
Label boxes with product information, barcodes, and shipping labels.
Organize and stack boxed items in an orderly manner for efficient storage or shipment.
Use packing materials such as bubble wrap, foam, or packing peanuts to protect delicate items.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Communicate with supervisors or team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies in packaging.
Assist in loading and unloading boxes onto pallets or trucks for transportation.
Follow all company policies and procedures regarding packaging and handling of products.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Previous experience in packaging or a similar role is preferred.
-Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Good communication and teamwork skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
-Knowledge of basic computer skills for labeling and tracking products.
-Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed.
-Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulations for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
-Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
