As our Environmental Services Manager at University Retirement Community, you’ll lead our housekeeping, custodial and laundry team in ensuring efficient and effective completion of all interior cleaning of the community, laundry services and custodial work. Not only will you be responsible for keeping our campus looking beautiful, you’ll be an integral part of our Facility Services leadership team by helping others develop their potential and building strong relationships with our residents.

We’re focused on setting you up for success - 3 years of experience in leading housekeeping teams, general building sanitation standards, operation/use of environmental services equipment and supplies will allow you to manage what really matters – providing top tier service to both our residents and your team. We are seeking a candidate with a strong leadership background in facilities or hospitality.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 / annually DOE

What you'll do:

Manage and supervise all department team members. Organize and schedule team members so that routine work and special projects are completed effectively and efficiently. Ensure all team members are trained in a consistent and effective training process/program.

Provide progressive performance management that includes timely team member appraisals, training, coaching, mentoring, and counseling, and support team members so they can be held accountable for abiding by all standardized practices, expectations, policies, and procedures set forth by you, your community, and PRS.

Conduct routine inspections to maintain quality control.Oversee integrated pest management program for the community

Adhere to all policies and procedures that ensure a high level of quality and customer service. Approach all encounters with residents, guests, and co-workers in a gracious, attentive, and courteous manner.

Delegate all work requests as assigned and ensure appropriate documentation. Maintain all required documentation and records for your departments. Assist with the development and administering of the operating budget for your department. Recommend capital purchases and improvements to the Facility Services Director. Order, receive, and maintain inventories of all supplies, tools, and equipment.

Ensure that routine and special cleanings of all resident apartments, health care units, and guest rooms are completed according to community standards.

Hire, schedule, and supervise all contracted services for your assigned departments.
