Job Title: Affiliate Mental Health Counselor (Per Diem)
Job Overview:
We are seeking qualified Mental Health Counselors to join our team on a per diem basis. This position offers an ideal opportunity for clinicians to expand their practice or supplement their current employment with part-time counseling services. Counselors have the flexibility to select their client demographics, including age groups (individual, family, couple), and to focus on areas that match their expertise and preferred acuity levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mental health counseling to clients referred through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Employ a counseling approach that mirrors the autonomy of a private practice.
Ensure initial contact with clients within 24 hours of receiving a referral.
Manage session limits effectively, and develop continuity plans for clients once EAP benefits are depleted.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and client progress.
Choose to work with specific client demographics (age groups, individual/family/couple) and areas of specialization based on personal competency and interest.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
Current licensure in the state of practice (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist).
Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling.
Ability to employ a variety of counseling techniques to meet the diverse needs of clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
