The Department of Public Works is hiring an Equipment Mechanic - I/II to work in Auburn, CA.
The responsiblities would include being able service, repair, and maintain gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuel powered automotive, road, and construction equipment. Additionally, you would fuel, clean, wash, inspect, and safety check County-owned vehicles and equipment. The ability to inspect motorized and mechanical equipment and to diagnose mechanical problems and determine extent of necessary repairs is expected.
This recruitment will be open until filled. Applications are being screened on a routine basis and forwarded to the hiring authority for their review. The first screening deadline is October 25, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Applications received after the deadline will then be screened on a bi-weekly basis.
