Placer County is currently accepting applications for Public Information Officer - I and Public Information Officer - II to fill a vacancy with the Department of Health and Human Services.
This position will be routinely and consistently assigned and will be required to use Spanish as a second language. The selected candidate will need to complete and pass a County-administered Spanish Foreign Language Proficiency examination for speaking/listening and reading/writing prior to a conditional offer of employment. Employees who are routinely and consistently assigned to positions requiring communication skills other than English will receive five percent (5%) bilingual pay.
Reporting to the Health and Human Services Communications Manager, this new role will support Spanish-language messaging, strengthen departmentwide community outreach and help make sure people get the information they need, when they need it. You’ll be part of a supportive leadership team that truly values your voice and expertise and encourages professional development.
