WELCOME TO BIRDIES

We’re Birdies Social Club, a bold new restaurant, bar, and indoor golf playground opening this summer in West Sacramento. Picture an indoor garden party with elevated cantina vibes, a killer brunch scene, DJs spinning on weekends, and private golf suites powered by state-of-the-art Trackman technology.

Our food is chef-driven but wildly approachable, California comfort food that includes burgers, tacos, salads, and seafood, curated by Executive Chef Raphael Kendall, who brings a signature flavor-forward menu to Birdies. We’re open seven days a week, with a big focus on brunch and weekend energy, and we’re building a kitchen crew that wants to grow with us and have fun while doing it.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re on the hunt for skilled and passionate Line Cooks who want to make delicious food, move fast, and be part of an opening team that’s going to make noise. If you take pride in plating a perfect burger just as much as elevating a seafood special, this is the place for you.

You’ll work directly under Chef Raphael Kendall and be part of a collaborative kitchen team that values consistency, creativity, and hustle. Birdies is a high-volume, high-energy environment, ideal for cooks who thrive in fast-paced service and want to help define a new culinary hot spot.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Execute California comfort food with precision, burgers, tacos, salads, and seafood done right.

Follow detailed prep lists, recipes, and plating guides to uphold consistency and quality

Operate grill, sauté, fry, and garde manger stations with confidence and efficiency

Set up and break down your station with speed, cleanliness, and full mise en place

Communicate clearly with Chef Raphael, sous chefs, and your fellow cooks to maintain flow of service

Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards, including FIFO rotation, temperature logs, and proper storage

Handle brunch, dinner, and late-night services with grace under pressure

Maintain a clean, professional, and organized kitchen environment at all times

Take ownership of prep and station duties—identify needs and jump in without being asked

Contribute to a fun, respectful, team-first kitchen culture where everyone is accountable

Be open to training, feedback, and continued growth in culinary techniques and operations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

1–2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred

Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen operations

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

A passion for comfort food and a deep respect for execution and consistency

Dependable, punctual, and coachable

Brunch and weekend availability required

A positive, professional attitude—you show up ready to work and ready to win the day
