Job purpose
Expo Duties
Taking all to go orders and ensuring that they are complete from start to finish
Managing all incoming tickets from the servers and communicating with kitchen staff on orders
Running food to tables according to seat numbers
Restocking, cleaning, and organization of expo and to go area
The Guest Experience Associate I (GEA-I) serves as a Customer Service ambassador, with a focus on engaging all visitors to ensure they have an enjoyable and positive customer experience. The GEA-I will help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for each customer. The GEA-I maintains working knowledge of all products and services offered by the organization; directing visitors to the items that meet their needs and interests, while effectively addressing their questions or concerns. The GEA-I focuses on ensuring the customer receives his or her food and beverage orders, is informed about additional products for sale (baked goods, alcohol, etc.), and other amenities offered within the restaurant. The GEA-I will also assist in the service clean-up, dish and utensil removal, and other customer service or environmental related duties.
Duties and responsibilities
Engage and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
React positively to a rapidly changing environment and make good decisions under pressure
Address the needs of visitors and clients including directing them to restrooms, banquet areas, bakery, etc.
Answer customer questions and troubleshooting visitor issues
Assist in day-to-day operations including opening and closing procedures, as requested by the Supervisor or Manager
Develop a familiarity with database and point of sale software to carry out query and other POS tasks, as requested.
Complete service tasks, including, but not limited to:
o ‘Bussing’ tables using the same consistent format
o Carrying ‘bus-tubs’ to the kitchen when needed
o Stocking service stations throughout the restaurant
o Sweeping and mopping as needed
o Filling and changing sanitation buckets
o Filling product showcases when needed
o ‘Running’ food orders to tables
o Making drinks and salads, per customer order
Qualifications
Restaurant experience preferred, but not required
Able to work weekends and holidays, as requested
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical requirements
This position requires standing for long periods of time, moving arms, squatting, lifting and carrying heavy weights, up to 25 lbs
Ability to work in a fast-paced culinary environment, in various room temperatures depending on which area of the restaurant or kitchen you may need to invest time in
Ability to maintain a friendly, relaxing demeanor, courteousness, and quick service
