Description We are in search of a Program Associate to join our organization based in Sacramento, California. As a Program Associate, you will be providing essential support to a newly funded program. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks from program research and development to grant-making and administrative support. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Assist in strategic planning and execution of program strategies, working closely with program partners, grantees, and consultants. Take responsibility for the planning and logistics of program events, webinars, and meetings, including the creation of event materials. Provide administrative support to the team during the creation, execution, and management of programs. Play a key role in developing, strengthening, and implementing the program’s internal processes to better serve our diverse community partners. Offer technical assistance and coordinate with diverse program partners, community partners, and grantees in response to their needs. Facilitate small group meetings related to assigned programs. Assist in monitoring program-related expenses and program budgets under the supervision of your superior. Conduct research on funding opportunities and policy issues to inform program design and enhancements. Coordinate with various departments in the development of contracts and grant agreements to accomplish program strategies. Act as a liaison with the Administration Department in the coordination and monitoring of grant agreements, contracts, and other third-party agreements.Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative assistance or a related role. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrable experience in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently. Experience with project management software is a plus.
