POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a detail-oriented, analytical, and organized professional who is looking to take their career to the next level? You could be the ideal candidate for our Accounts Payable Specialist position, processing vital tasks that will maintain (4) separate entities under our Dealership.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will work independently and alongside the other specialists to handle high-volume Accounts Payable department.

Manage and maintain the department’s incoming mail and distribute. Includes physical, email and Avidxchange electronic system.

Responsible for new vendor set up along with updating of current vendor information.

Verifies federal ID numbers, maintains W-9 records, and prepares 1099 reports for year end.

Maintain reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.

Regular reconciliation of department credit cards

Prepare checks, V-Payo, ACH, and wire payment batches as back up payment processor.

Obtains appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

Adaptability - adapts to changes in work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with change, delays or unexpected events.

Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Assist Accounting department as necessary.

Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of accounts payable and general account procedures and best practices.

Ability to read, analyze, utilize, and follow standard policies, procedures, and resources.

Competencies Required Problem solving - strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Process high volume of payments while enduring accuracy and security.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Ability to work in a team environment, communicate and collaborate.

Proficient in data entry and management

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school or general education degree (GED); and 3+ years accounts payable or general accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license and a clean DMV report.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 Hourly

Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability.
