This individual must be very comfortable working in a dynamic and demanding environment with challenges and direction in multiple projects at a time.

Position Overview:

As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of accounting principles, and a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

2. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

3. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.

4. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

5. Coordinate and assist with annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business objectives, pricing analysis, and cost optimization.

7. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

2. 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

3. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards, with the ability to apply them to complex business transactions.

4. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP, Netsuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and make data-driven recommendations.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

7. Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
