The ideal candidate will have experience with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, and a strong understanding of accounting practices in a startup environment.Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Expense Management: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
ERP System Utilization: Utilize large ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) for financial data entry, reporting, and analysis.
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in large ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle required); advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced startup environment.
