Entry Level Shop Laborer / Mechanic Assistant

Dave's Tractor, Inc. has an opening in our service department. This position would involve light mechanical tasks like assembling implements, washing tractors, changing fluids and filters, prepping new tractor packages, etc. We will train the right person on the job. You should be handy and familiar with basic maintenance, but we are not expecting a fully trained mechanic for this position.
The right person for this job will be honest and hardworking, with the ability and desire to learn quickly. You will need to be able to follow checklists and be accurate. The job will require working in a shop and outdoors when it is hot or cold (shop has some heating and cooling but can only do so much). The job will also require that you are able to lift and carry heavy objects, work with tools, and have a positive attitude. Starting pay is $18/hour plus benefits, with room for growth. Benefits would include paid time off, medical insurance, simple IRA, paid holidays, etc. There is a 60-day waiting/probationary period before benefits begin. Standard working hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00, with occasional opportunity for overtime.
