OverviewFor more than 70 years Mercy Medical Center Redding has offered comprehensive health care in the North State providing acute care and a full range of medical services. The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. Responsibility is for a designated time frame. The Unit Coordinator II/Tech will help provide safe therapeutic care for our patients under the guidance of the Registered Nurse Physicians Assistant Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician. Other health care team members will be utilized with the multidisciplinary processes.Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.QualificationsMinimum requirements:
Previous experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech
Six months monitor tech or equivalent level of experience in an acute care facility required (may waive based on operational needs of the department)
BLS certification required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia
Preferred qualifications:
Over two years experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech (or equivalent) in an acute care facility preferred
Two years of college education preferred
