K&S Staffing Solutions is seeking a Youth Mentor Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Youth Mentor Coordinator is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Youth Mentor team and AmeriCorps members

to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed support for youth within the Wraparound Program. The Coordinator will supervise, train,

and guide mentors while managing program operations, including documentation, reporting, and compliance. This position

ensures that both mentors and AmeriCorps members are aligned with program goals, engaging youth in developmentally

appropriate activities that promote personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships. The Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining a structured, supportive environment for both mentors and youth, while contributing to the overall success of the

Wraparound process.

This position combines leadership, administrative oversight, and occasional direct youth engagement to ensure that program

standards and outcomes are met effectively.

Reports to Program Manager. Supervises Youth Mentor Team & AmeriCorps Team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Lived Experience:

1.1. Preferred experience in child-serving systems (e.g., child welfare, juvenile probation, or behavioral health) or

experience mentoring youth with emotional or behavioral challenges.

1.2. Experience supervising or mentoring staff or volunteers in a related human services environment.

2. Education:

2.1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as social work, psychology, sociology, or human services.

3. Other Requirements:

3.1. Valid unrestricted driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.

3.2. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

3.3. Must pass a Department of Justice/Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervision & Team Leadership:

1.1. Supervise Youth Mentors: Provide guidance, supervision, and professional development to the Youth

Mentors, ensuring they deliver consistent, high-quality support to the youth they serve.

1.2. Mentor Team Support: Hold regular support and coaching sessions with Youth Mentors to discuss their

caseloads, support their challenges, and offer strategies for engaging youth effectively and meeting reporting

and documentation standards.

1.3. Facilitate Mentor Orientation: Lead orientation sessions with new mentors and families, ensuring both parties

understand their roles, the expectations of the program, and how to build positive mentor-mentee

relationships.

1.4. Training & Development: Organize and implement ongoing training opportunities for Youth Mentors to

develop their skills in peer support, crisis intervention, and youth advocacy.

1.5. Monitor Mentor Assignments: Oversee mentor assignments to youth, ensuring appropriate matching based on

needs and goals, and monitor progress throughout the mentoring relationship.

1.6. Documentation: Ensure that all required documentation (e.g., case notes, progress reports, incident reports)

related to mentor activities and youth engagement is properly recorded, stored, and maintained according to

agency guidelines and confidentiality policies.

1.7. Reporting: Submit timely reports on program activities, mentor progress, and any significant events or

challenges encountered during the mentorship process. This includes tracking mentor service hours,

submitting regular supervision logs, and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.

1.8. Outcome Measures: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring program. This

includes tracking key outcomes (e.g., youth progress, goal achievement, behavior changes) and ensuring that

mentors are contributing to the achievement of established program goals and metrics.

1.9. Administrative Duties: Oversee scheduling, timesheets, and attendance for mentors, as well as managing

communication between mentors, families, and the Wraparound team. The Coordinator must also ensure that

mentor caseloads are properly assigned and balanced, and that all required administrative paperwork is

completed in a timely manner.

2. AmeriCorps Site Supervisor Duties

2.1. AmeriCorps Member Supervision: Serve as the primary supervisor for AmeriCorps members

2.2. AmeriCorps Training & Orientation: Provide AmeriCorps members with orientation to the organization, its

policies, and procedures, and deliver ongoing training relevant to their service responsibilities.

2.3. Service Activity Monitoring: Ensure AmeriCorps members are adhering to their service assignments and are

effectively contributing to the program goals. Monitor and evaluate their progress and service hours.

2.4. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure that AmeriCorps members comply with all AmeriCorps regulations and

that required reports (timesheets, performance evaluations) are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

2.5. Collaboration with AmeriCorps Program: Maintaining communication with program staff and attending AmeriCorps-related meetings or trainings as needed.

3. Program Participation

3.1. Wraparound Engagement: Participate in team meetings and contribute to service plans by sharing

observations and offering insights from feedback from mentors, and feedback from families.

3.2. Program Activities: Attend and participate in program events, such as banquets, award ceremonies, and site

activities as needed.

emotional or behavioral challenges.

6. Self-Awareness: Understanding of personal triggers and self-care needs to maintain emotional stability in challenging

situations.

Full Time

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr DOE
