Our work depends on Instructional Developer Senior joining our team to design and develop curriculum for ILT, ILE, and IMI training, including ability to analyze, design, and develop instructional material for the Naval Construction Force.HOW AN INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTDesign and develop instructional approaches and interactive courseware to meeting training requirements.Write training materials, including tasks, learning objectives, content, lesson maps, instructional strategies, learning events and activities, test items, and interface design and controls for Interactive Multi-Media products.Develop video and audio scripts and storyboards.Develop lesson plans, exercise controller guides, on-the-job training handbooks.Develop tests, testing plans, and associated documentation.Assist in formative and summative evaluations.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:A degree in Education/Psychology/Instructional Systems Design or an associated degree is required and must have included accredited course work (study) in at least three of the following four areas:

The principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness

The techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/ educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments

The techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training

The application of instructional technology in education and training, including learning management systems, learning assessment systems, and, or gamification techniques for learning.

Preferred Skills:The Instructional Designer should have experience performing all aspects of training system analysis and design, leading a multi-disciplinary training design implementation team.● Location: On Customer Site. The Instructional Designer will work as part of a team, onsite at the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) in Port Hueneme, CA , therefore, candidate m ust reside within a commutable distance of Port Hueneme, CA.● US Citizenship Required. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
