Senior Manager, Project Management

In this job, you’ll lead a wide array of staff that project manage extensive engineering studies for generation and load developers, aggregate data from a wide array of organizations to develop cost and schedule forecasts, negotiate and manage added facilities contracts; and negotiate and manage FERC and CPUC jurisdictional contracts between SCE and multiple cities, municipalities, and agencies. You’ll be working with a wide array of management and executive management staff to illustrate challenges and creative solutions. Develops long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the project management competency

Cultivates relationships with business partners and vendors to achieve operational excellence

Drive adoption of innovative project management methodologies and approaches

Directs project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources to advance key initiatives

Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients

Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables

Manages related workforce planning, budget analysis, and budget forecasts; Develops and manages department expense budget, regularly monitors expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and variances

Manages projects and monitors progress in an ordered, accurate way and provides accurate and timely information; Drives regular project reviews, monitoring the progress and results of all ongoing projects and acts upon action points to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Develops, monitors, and updates the project cash flow and financial forecasts; Manages project portfolio delivery and ensures the quality of delivery across a range of enterprise programs specified by function

Builds business cases and project justifications for stakeholders; Drives SCE's project planning and scenario development, aligning project assumptions with operational plans, project timelines, budgets and related resources allocations

A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.

Experience developing long-term vision and strategic roadmaps of projects.

Experience in project portfolio planning and ongoing optimization of resources.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the field as a planner or engineer or working with customers on construction/design contracts

Experience working with subject matter exp-erts contributing to large load or large generation projects

Project Management Experience

Contract negotiation and/or management experience, preferably with large generation/load customers

Additional Information

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
