In this role, you will have responsibility over the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Your duties will also include participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position involves a good deal of time spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
ActiveMQ Software experience
Fixed Asset Accounting experience desired
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
