Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Palo Alto, California, for a Fund Accountant. This role is situated within the fast-paced Financial Services industry and will require an individual with a strong background in Fund Accounting and Private Equity. The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.Responsibilities: Accurately process capital calls and book deals in line with company procedures Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely and professional manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed Utilize a strong understanding of Private Equity Fund and Venture Capital in daily tasks Adhere to financial regulations and company policies at all times Collaborate with team members to achieve financial objectives Continually update skills and industry knowledge to ensure effectiveness in role Provide detailed financial reports to management as required Assist with other financial duties as assigned by management. Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry Proficiency in Fund Accounting is required Experience with Private Equity and Private Equity Funds is essential Knowledge and understanding of Venture Capital is necessary Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Proficiency in using financial software and databases Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of integrity and professional ethics Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments Certification such as CPA, CFA, or similar is advantageous.
