Mas o Menos, a coffee and cocktail bar located off Highway 62 in Joshua Tree, is seaking a reliable weekend and occassional special event security person for the high season and beyond.
Job Title: Security
Duties:
- Monitor and authorize entrance (check IDs) and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises
- Patrol premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or any other security breaches
- Investigate and report any suspicious activities or incidents
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries or concerns
Experience:
- Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
- Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and legal regulations
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
Skills:
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures
