Job Summary:
The Warehouse/Project Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations and managing complex kitting projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong leader with experience in logistics, fulfillment, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Lead and manage kitting projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to customer specifications.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage labor allocation and oversee a team of warehouse associates, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy, ensuring materials and products are properly accounted for.
- Identify areas for operational improvements and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Track and report key performance metrics, including productivity, efficiency, and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing high-touch kitting or fulfillment projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with lean or process improvement methodologies preferred.
