Career Strategies is urgently seeking skilled and experienced Maintenance Technicians for Apartment Communities in the Palm Springs, CA area and surrounding cities. Cities include; Palm Desert, Cathedral City, La Quinta, DHS, Bermuda Dunes, Coachella, and Indio.
Maintenance staff will be responsible for completing work orders, turning vacant units and other required tasks.
Positions also available in the San Gabriel Valley & Inland Empire
Responsibilities:
- Make Readies / Apartment Turns
- Plumbing: sink/shower/toilet repair, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains (snaking when applicable)
- Electrical: replacing fixtures and switches/outlets
- Carpentry: patching holes, replacing doors/locks, hanging cabinetry, light touch-up painting
- Appliances: help with installation of W&D, stoves (when applicable), installing garbage disposals, small repairs
Technician should be courteous to residents and provide realistic expectations for completed service requests/work orders
Report missing/needed parts to Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager (as instructed)
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months Maintenance Experience in Residential Maintenance - Apartments, Hotels or Private Homes
- General knowledge of ALL aspects of maintenance repair, drywall repair plumbing, electrical, and all appliance care
- Must have personal hand tools and drill - bring to site daily; do not leave at property
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel up to 15-30 miles a day
- Ability to communicate well and work in a team/solo environment
- HVAC, EPA, or CFC Certification a plus
