Job Description:
- Responsible for preparing food items and ensuring high-quality service. Key responsibilities include:
- Cooking and preparing dishes - follow recipes and cooking techniques to prepare meals according to the restaurant’s menu
- Food safety - Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Communication - Communicate effectively with fellow bar staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth
- Teamwork - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality in food preparation
- Attention to detail - Maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation in the kitchen
This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2. California Food safety and handling certification
3. 1 - 2 years prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions
4. Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation
5. Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes
6. Strong knife skills
7. Ability to follow recipes accurately
8. Good organizational and time management skills
