Looking for a MATURE, even tempered individual with positive attitude who works well with others and capable of being a genuine team player. Must be able to learn quickly and take direction. The location is in downtown Palm Springs. Position is part time. MUST be able to work late afternoon into evening shifts Tuesday/Thursday/Friday and 2-11pm Saturday and 11am to 10pm on Sundays.
Essentials:
- MUST HAVE CURRENT FOOD HANDLERS CARD OR GET ONE WITHIN ONE WEEK
- Be able to prepare and cook food according to recipes
- Provide general support and culinary support to other individuals as part of the team
in the kitchen
- Understand food order slips and be able to receive and comprehend verbal instructions
- Prepare food to recipe for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Experience as fry cook and knowledge in how to safely cook and handle a fryer
- Must have the ability and willingness to help other stations to prevent back up
- Willingness and Ability to cross-train and work in multiple positions – we believe in the
concept of ONE Kitchen, where your training and flexibility will enable you to become an expert
in all back of the house roles to create a well rounded individual who can grow and develop
leadership/management skills to utilize for future endeavors and goals
- Maturity and professionalism under pressure desirable and the ability to communicate with
coworkers and/or managers in an effective, honest manner required.
