Yes, I’m adorable … and I know it. My name is Ms. Molly, but most of my friends just call me Molly.
Let me give you some information about my favorite topic: ME! I live very close to the College of the Desert with Candace and Roger. Many think I look like a puppy, but actually I’m seven years old. I attribute my youthful appearance to clean living.
My favorite hobbies are eating, sleeping, walking, and looking for food. Each day Candace and I go for walk. In addition to my good looks, people like my charming personality. On Thursdays we go to a memory care unit where Candace & I spend time with the residents. I’ll roll over a couple of times (real boring). Also, I shake hands with everyone provided they give me a treat and a pat on the head. (In my next life, perhaps I’ll be a politician.) The following week we do the same ol’ thing. (I said it's MEMORY CARE so nobody remembers what we did the previous week.) Oh, the life of a therapy dog!
Did I mention I like to eat I’m not fussy. Steak, chicken, premium dog food, steak, tofu, fish. I even eat liver. Most veggies are okay Carrots are delish. So, are potatoes. There are a couple of exceptions: NO BRUSSEL SPOUTS! Can’t stand ‘em. Corn is ok, but I don't like creamed corn out of a can. (Too slimy for my taste.) Oh yes, I don't eat ANYTHING with a pill in it.
Another of my wonderful qualities: I’m a great listener. People tell me their problems and my lips are sealed. It’s all part of being trained as a therapy dog. (Frankly, I don’t have many faults other than being accused of being a sloppy kisser.)
They say variety is the spice of life. I’ve decided once a week or so I’d like a walking companion other than Candace. An hour or so would be great. We can walk around the Estate at Rancho Mirage, or get in your car and go somewhere. I’m totally flexible as to the time and day of the week. I’m offering $15 per walk which is coming out of my inheritance. Poop bags and treats are supplied by management. In addition to the pleasure of my company, you'll get out of the house and enjoy some exercise.
When Candace and I go for walks, frequently people approach us. “Can I pet your dog?” “What’s HIS name? (I hate that.) “How old is your puppy?” It’s the same ol' questions …. again and again. So, if you don’t like being bombarded with questions about ME, then this job isn’t for you.
