We are a small construction business primarily focused on concrete projects. We have experience as both a general contractor and subcontractor in public and private works. We are looking for a motivated individual with a minimum of ten years of experience in a civil construction environment and minor concrete work. As an Estimator/Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our company projects. Your expertise in estimating, contract negotiations, project management, and cost control will contribute to the overall profitability of our company.
Responsibilities:
-Oversees the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
-Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
-Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
-Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost.
-Review and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
-Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed.
-Provide guidance and support to the estimating team.
Skills:
-Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices.
-Excellent project management skills including the ability to prioritize task and meet deadlines.
-Experience in negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors.
-Solid understanding of construction management processes.
-Ability to analyze project plans and specifications to accurately estimates cost.
-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy.
-Knowledge and experience with Caltrans project including familiarity with their plans, specifications, and communications.
