We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate NEMT Driver to complement our workforce. The NEMT Driver will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey. This role requires the capacity to lift and transport clients on stretchers or gurneys, with a minimum lifting requirement of 150 pounds.

Drivers will undergo comprehensive training and certification in First Aid/CPR, defensive driving, wheelchair/gurney securing, and passenger-focused customer service.

Responsibilities:

Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments

Ensure patients' comfort and safety during transit

Assist patients in boarding and disembarking the vehicle as necessary

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations

Maintain accurate records of patient transportation activities

Communicate effectively with patients and medical personnel

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving and criminal record

Preferably experience as a NEMT Driver

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Demonstrated compassion and patient-centered focus

Ability to lift and assist patients as required

Physical Requirements:

The driver must pass a physical examination and be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds. Additionally, they must be able to bend and pivot from the waist and transition from a standing to kneeling position and vice versa.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, with weekend availability as needed

Job Type: Part-time for now. Transition to Full-time in the nearby future

Salary: $18.00 per hour
