A fast-growing plumbing company is seeking a lead installer. The lead installer is responsible for all aspects of each installation project including quality install practices, delegation and communication with each install team member, communication with customers in a timely manner, and ensuring a premium customer experience. The ideal plumbing lead will have a thorough knowledge of residential (and / or commercial) plumbing concepts, including: water, drain, gas, water heater, etc. The successful candidate must be organized with great attention to detail. You should have exceptional multi-tasking skills and must be able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position includes a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm, with after hours and weekend work (as needed).
Duties And Responsibilities
Provide quality customer service by actively listening and interacting with customers
Follow safety guidelines for employer vehicles, equipment, and customer homes
Works independently with little supervision in the completion of assignments
Meets daily with install manager to provide feedback, define issues, and provide solutions within the department (as needed)
Works closely with install manager to maximize scheduling efficiencies and identify training gaps / opportunity for the install crew
Responsible for team job site performance according to company ethics
Reads and interprets sketches, diagrams, and technical manuals
Liaison to assist in enforcement of all company field policies and procedures with company / subs team
Trains and coaches department apprentices and helpers to build a stronger team
Demonstrates knowledge of plumbing repair and installation using standard tools, machinery, and equipment
Uses, applies, and monitors appropriate safety practices and procedures and reports violations to the install manager
Skills / Qualifications
3 - 5 years (or more) of previous residential plumbing experience
Profound knowledge of all plumbing installations
Ability to lead teams of installers to successful job completion
Able to assist in evaluating assigned install team personnel on job performance and provide field coaching as necessary
Follows and demonstrates company policies
Assist in finding solutions to field and office problems immediately
Effectively demonstrates communication skills with customers, install team members, dispatch, and management
Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
Occasionally required to ascend / descend ladders and balance
Frequent standing, squatting, sitting for extended periods of time
Occasionally required to lift and / or move objects up to 60 lbs
Work is performed in residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof, and in confined areas)
