We need a carpenter helper (1-3 yrs of exp.) to assist the journeyman in a series of home renovation projects in order to get homes ready for sale.
The first project is mainly interior painting so you should have experience applying primer and using roller to paint walls/surfaces.
DUTIES:
You will be helping the journeyman in renovation projects. The scope of work includes:
- Demo
- Minor Drywall patching and repair
- Painting
- Putting together and installing kitchen cabinets and counters
- Redoing trim on stairs
- Minor electrical
- Minor plumbing
- Tile flooring & backsplash
- Cover driving area of Orange County
MUST HAVES:
- 1-3 years of experience as carpenter helper (experience with framing, trim carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, tiling)
- Reliable, show up on time every day
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to operate skill saw, chop saw, reciprocating saw, tile saw, drill
- PPE: Safety glasses, gloves
- Tools: Levels, tape measure, drill, nail bar, screwdrivers, framing hammer, square, utility knives, brushes, paint rollers & refills, drop cloth, paint tray, tape, etc.
JOB DETAILS:
- $20 p/h
- Typical work week 5 days, from 8:00am - 5:00 PM
- This project should last 3 months with opportunity for more work
- Overtime available
