About the Role
Our Car Wash Detailer keeps Crash Lab’s loaners, courtesy cars, and delivered vehicles spotless. Perfect for someone who loves cars and wants to break into the collision repair industry.
Key Responsibilities
Hand wash exteriors using two bucket or foam cannon method; dry with soft microfiber.
Wash, clay, and decontaminate exteriors after body/paint work.
Vacuum interiors, wipe dash/door panels, apply trim conditioners and dress tires efficiently.
Perform spot sanding and dual action polishing to remove minor defects and overspray.
Perform high speed polishing and/or wax to vehicles.
Inspect vehicles for damage before/after washes and report discrepancies.
Document QC checklist items and flag concerns to the production manager.
Maintain wash bay cleanliness, pressure washers, and water reclaim systems.
Support pick up/drop off team with vehicle shuttles as needed.
Qualifications
1+ year professional detailing in collision or high volume recon environment.
Prior car wash or dealership porter experience preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of buffing pads, compounds, and paint finish inspection.
Strong eye for cosmetic imperfections; takes pride in presentation.
Physically able to work on feet, lift hoses, and stoop/kneel.
Valid CA driver’s license; able to safely move premium vehicles in tight spaces and ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
Comfortable using tablets/phones for checklist apps and photo uploads.
