Our construction estimating department is looking for an experienced Asphalt Paving Estimator to bid and manage construction projects for an extensive list of General Contractors. The right candidate has 5+ years of experience, is successful at meeting monthly sales goals, is responsible bidding and planning projects to meet deadlines, quality standards and profit margin requirements, and fits in well with our culture.

Position: Sr. Estimator / Project Manager – Grade and Pave Asphalt Construction
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday with a 7am start time typically. Additional hours/days may be needed.
Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $65K- $120K base DOE; Commission Structure potential, Weekly Pay
Benefits: Company vehicle/mileage reimbursement, cell phone, health benefits eligibility after 90-days, 401K with matching after one year of employment; paid vacation and sick time.
Location: Office in La Mirada, CA; Territory is mostly Southern CA. We perform projects throughout California and into NV and AZ.
Duties: This Estimating / Project Management position:
Reading through plans and doing plan take-offs
Estimating asphalt-related construction projects
Getting Quotes, Submittals, Pre-Qual Packets Completed, etc.
Managing the lifecycles of projects in the office and in the field to ensure success and profitability
Collaborating with a team effectively; being committed to core values and using leadership skills.
Achieving your invoiced sales goal
Required Skillsets/Character: 5+ years Asphalt Estimating Experience, Good driving record, outstanding work ethic, proficiency with Office 365 and internet research, accurate data entry and computing numerical values, excellent math skills, effective time management, deadline driven, team player, taking initiative, reliability, punctuality, trustworthiness, positive attitude, outstanding organization, and professionalism.
