JOB DESCRIPTION

Salt-Away is a unique product. The formula is proprietary, the first one in the world developed for removing salt and eliminating salt corrosion . It’s features are not like any other similar product. Requirements for the Sales and Marketing position include reading and learning all of the literature the Company has published, as well as reading all the information in the text and photos on the website www.saltaway.com.

Responsibilities:

Initiate and answer phone calls and emails relative to current customers, current users, and prospective customers. Topics include sales, technical information about the product, providing pricing, policies, purchase orders, invoicing, shipping, and other common sales activities.

Phone voice tone and email writing attitude is very important. Professional, friendly, easy, next-door-neighbor attitude. No salesy attitude, no pressure to close.

Coordinate with other employees whose tasks are relative to new and reoccurring customers.

Initiate innovative marketing ideas to increase sales. After approval of ideas, strongly invoke the ideas.

Investigate current customers’ repetition of orders, and contact those who have not recently placed an order.

Heavy and frequent email communications with customers and vendors using Outlook.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years sales and marketing experience in the manufacturing and wholesale distribution industry.

Computer literate, and expert in Outlook, WordPerfect, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Internet.

Strong analytical skills, and capable of solving issues independently.

Ability to ensure facility compliance in all aspects of health and safety including government, industry and company rules and regulations.

Must be a self a starter, self-motivated, and show strong initiative skills. Exceptionally strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Must be willing to receive cross-training and execute tasks not defined as typical sales and marketing duties.

Must be able to handle pressure and sudden spikes in work load.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds with no physical limitations.

Excellent communication skills, including phone, verbal, writing, and listening skills. Good grammar skills.

There are no Supervisory responsibilities. All employees are considered equal-level capability. Inter-training is invited when any employee has a strong experience with certain skill sets. Egos are checked at the door.
