Looking for Artists to instruct Paint Nite paint party classes (1-3 days per week).
Locations:
Current locations and event times needed: Tustin (Friday 5:30pm-9:30pm), Costa Mesa (Saturday 11:30am-2:30pm), and La Habra (Monday 5:30pm-9:30pm)
Prospect New Locations (Weekday nights or Weekend Anytime): Fullerton, Yorba Linda, Anaheim, Orange, Brea, Los Alamitos, Garden Grove, Buena Park, Anaheim Hills, San Clemente, Laguna Nigel, Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Newport Beach ALL OF Orange County areas. Private Parties may be in other nearby locations.
What type of a class is this? Basically, a paint host walks an average of 20-30 people step-by-step through a 2 hour painting while at a local bar or restaurant. Events run for 2 hours (typical time 7pm-9pm weekends vary). Set up and break down is additional 2 hours (4hours total per event).This is a painting PARTY, not a painting CLASS; these are social events with low-key painting instruction. Compensation is based on event ticket sales with a minimum pay of $75 per class taught and up to $250 (plus tips). You will be 10-99 contractor directly through Paint Nite LLC for working events. Event payouts are bi-weekly only for events successfully completed. All art supplies and painting supplies are provided. We will train new artist but basic acrylic painting skills are required, teaching skills are a plus.
Some basic qualifications:
1. Must be outgoing, comfortable with a crowd, able to roll with the punches and handle challenges
2. Must be able to break down a painting step-by-step (similar to Bob Ross's style - if you are too young to remember Bob Ross, Youtube him!)
3. Must be comfortable communicating with venue restaurant/bar staff
4. Must have a spacious car to transport the equipment (easels, canvas, paint) and have a enclosed storage space at home, to the venue and back again
5. Must be able to do physical labor (lifting paint jugs and boxes of canvases) MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 35lbs AND WALK FOR 3-4 HOURS AT A TIME.
6. Must be LOCAL to Orange County and willing to work 1-3 events a week (week nights 6pm-10pm, and weekends late lunch or early dinner time)
7. Must be computer and social media savvy; able to edit photos and upload photos to Facebook, Use google APPS
