Small but busy law firm is seeking an Experienced PARALEGAL. Must have experience working at a law office. Areas of practice for the firm are Personal Injury, Family Law/Divorce, Bankruptcy. MUST have experience in Answering multiple calls as well.
1. Paralegal work includes FILLING OUT FORMS for FAMILY LAW cases; working on declarations, Domestic Violence Cases, E-filing documents; Working on Family Law forms, preparing DIVORCE judgments, DVRO forms, etc.
PERSONAL INJURYpreparing motions such as motions to compel, preparing DISCOVERY RESPONSES for Personal Injury cases, E-FILING documents etc.
2. Being SPANISH BILINGUAL is a MUST for the position.
3. Experience in a law office is a PLUS.
3. REMOTE WORK and IN OFFICE WORK
LAW CLERKS: Can have internship and gain valuable experience in Family Law and Personal Injury cases. MUST have experience in these areas.
MUST have at least 2 years OR MORE of experience working at a law office in California with experience and FAMILY LAW matters.
Applicant must be computer proficient, be familiar with Outlook, Calendar, Email Programs, Microsoft Word and MYCASE. Must be punctual and reliable. Applicant must be fluent in Spanish.
Attorney will test your knowledge in Spanish: reading, writing and speaking.
Some other duties include ANSWERING PHONES, gathering client information being able to multi-task and being very professional with callers. MAKING APPOINTMENTS, follow the attorney's instructions; TRANSLATING from English to Spanish and Spanish to English. With the ability to READ, WRITE and SPEAK Spanish fluently.
ATTORNEYS
Seeking Attorney with experience in Family Law and PI if you have some experience. COURT APPEARANCES will be part of the job.
This is a SOLO PRACTICE LAW FIRM focused on FAMILY LAW and PERSONAL INJURY cases.
The firm’s range of expertise includes many related legal fields including accident cases, divorce cases, domestic violence cases, custody & visitation,
Qualified candidates must have 2-6 years of Family Law experience, and PI Cases to do everything from filing out forms to trying the cases at various types of hearings.
Applicants should have litigation experience and be prepared to assume an active case load, including propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and appearing for law and motion and client reporting. Seeking attorneys who are analytical, proactive, willing to work hard and possess strong legal research and writing skills.
COMPENSATION: Contract, court appearance fee or per file or project. NO BENEFITS.
Two writing samples are required.
REQUIREMENTS for PARALEGAL or LEGAL ASSISTANTS
-Must have legal experience in law firms for at least 1 year.
-Must be fluent in SPANISH and English [Bilingual] and must be able to read, write, speak and understand both languages.
REFERENCES: if possible from attorneys regarding your experience as a LEGAL ASSISTANT and your fluent Spanish [bilingual] for a law office; Need at least 1 or 2 references from attorneys that you have worked for;
-Have the ability of working under pressure.
-Basic Law Firm Computer Knowledge—Microsoft office, Excel, (Outlook/Microsoft Applications);
-Excellent Phone Skills and Customer Service; ability to communicate well

-Must have good memory of clients, calls, appointments, etc.
-Must be United States Citizen or US Resident.
-Must be Honest, reliable and live close to Santa Ana, California.

Compensation: $22 to $25 DOE; Full-time position: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 or 6:00 p.m.
