Sitter4Paws is expanding our team and seeking passionate pet sitters and dog walkers across Orange County!
Our dedicated staff ensures top-tier care for our clients' homes and beloved pets. As the primary point of contact for pets under our care, we prioritize trustworthiness, reliability, and strong communication skills in all our team members.
Role Overview:
As a pet sitter, you will work independently in clients' homes, following detailed care instructions provided while they are away. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the health and safety of pets, adhering to specific schedules between 7am to 8pm, and providing comprehensive updates using the TTP app after each service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely handling pets
- Arriving at clients homes within their allotted time frame and staying for the entire duration of the service
- Providing pets with food and fresh water
- Administering medication to pets according to the instructions provided by pet owners
- Cleaning pet areas, litter boxes, cages, and aquariums, as well as changing rodents' beddings
- Exercising pets as needed, which includes taking dogs out for regular walks
- Providing updates to pet owners
- Messaging and sending photos using the TTP app
- Promptly notifying the office before departing the visit of pet illnesses, injuries or safety concerns
- Securing clients' homes
Requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Holiday availability
- Experience with dogs and cats
- Have a smartphone and dependable car with current license and insurance
- Available to work a variety of hours/days including holidays and weekends
- Be willing and able to handle dogs that may pull on a leash
- Be willing and able to give medication to dogs and cats
Benefits:
- Competitive pay at $17 per hour plus mileage reimbursement of $0.67 per mile
