We are looking for an entry- to mid-level electrician to assist with the estimation, installation, and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) chargers. The ideal candidate will have a basic to intermediate understanding of electrical systems, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a willingness to learn about EV charging infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in estimating costs for EV charger installations, including material and labor calculations.
Perform site surveys to assess electrical panel capacity, load calculations, and potential installation challenges.
Install Level 2 EV chargers for residential and commercial clients per NEC and local codes.
Run conduit, pull wires, and make electrical terminations as required for EV charger installations.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and electrical code requirements.
Troubleshoot and repair issues related to EV charging stations.
Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and utility companies as needed.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Stay updated on EV charging technology and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Entry-Level: Minimum 1 year of electrical experience or relevant training (trade school/apprenticeship preferred).
Mid-Level: 3+ years of electrical experience, preferably in residential/commercial installations.
Basic understanding of load calculations and electrical panel capacity.
Familiarity with NEC, local codes, and permit requirements for EV charger installations.
Ability to read electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, and basic troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred but not required).
California Electrical Trainee Card or Journeyman License (preferred for mid-level positions).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
