Medical Scribe and Medical Front Desk/Back Office back up
It will be the ideal job for someone who is looking for clinical experience/clinical hours for medical school, PA or nursing school and will be a wonderful opportunity to learn how to present patients and write patient notes, know what medications/tests to order for each condition, learn about patient care, and gain insight into the life of a practitioner.
Qualifications
Medical terminology: at least 6 months
Medical office job experience (at least 6 months)
Medical scribe experience (at least 6 months)
Bachelor's (Preferred)
Bilingual Spanish (Preferred)
Must be available to work Full Time Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
A. Medical Front and Back Office Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Assist healthcare providers with basic medical procedures as needed
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations of the office
B. Medical Scribe
Duties:
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits and document medical histories, symptoms, and treatments in real-time
- Transcribe and input medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently
- Assist with coding and billing processes
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is complete
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient typing skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
