Arborland Montessori Children's Academy is looking for positive, friendly and energetic Mandarin speaking preschool assistant teacher to work with young children ages 3-6 years old. We are a high achieving private Montessori school with young and motivated students. Our lead teachers are Montessori trained and have a lot of experience in the classroom. It is a great learning opportunity for people who want to get experience in teaching or for those who have experience but are interested in learning about the Montessori method. We offer individual and small group instruction and expect every child to be safe and learning happily. Our programs are academic based and structured. The position is M-F from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Responsibilities:
-follow structure and rules laid out by classroom teacher
-supervise during indoor and outdoor activities
-develop and implement structured indoor and outdoor lesson plans for after school class
-follow and enforce all school rules and policies to keep students safe
-prepare daily snack
Requirements:
-6 ECE units minimum; must be working towards 12 units (child family and community, child growth and development, program curriculum and elective or infant/toddler development for infant/toddler positions)
-experience working with children aged 0-6 years old
-Livescan fingerprinting and physical with TB test required upon hiring
-friendly yet firm, caring, responsible
-Able to read, write and speak Mandarin Chinese
Schedule:
Full-time Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
