Own sales and revenue targets for $7M+ portion of the business
Build relationships with new potential clients and manage the complete business development cycle
Work with client/account managers to grow existing relationships
Collaborate with Services leads on the technical direction of our work and the desired types of new work to win
Collaborate with client managers and project managers to validate impact and efficacy of our services within our client organizations
Maintain detailed records in Salesforce to enable effective tracking of KPI’s and sales metrics
Oversee proposal development and follow-up with clients on specific opportunities
Prepare annual client and sales plans as part of business planning process
Help other team members grow their business development acumen
Represent Altura at industry events to collaborate with our peers and help move the industry forward.

Work location is flexible; preference for candidates who can be based in either our Oakland, CA or Newport Beach, CA office on a hybrid basis; periods of frequent travel should be expected.Required Qualifications:
Strong track record of winning new business in a high growth environment in the energy, engineering, environmental services spaces
Demonstrated command of the lifecycle of winning and executing consulting work, from sales pipeline to proposal management to project management and client/account management
Strong command of major technical issues around building decarbonization, building energy efficiency, and the real estate design/construction/operations lifecycle
10+ years of experience working in professional services
Outstanding professional communication skills
Familiarity with management systems deployed in high growth environments
Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of empathy. Ability to thrive in a teamwork-driven environment
Driven self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities for improvement
Desired Qualifications:
Balanced technical and business skills in the areas of building energy efficiency, building automation, and/or large-scale programs
Experience implementing decarbonization strategies for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission sources
Well-formed professional network in the higher education and/or corporate markets
