Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Newport Beach, California. This role operates within the industry and involves the management of customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and addressing customer inquiries. Working in this role, you will also be tasked with the monitoring of customer accounts and taking appropriate action.Responsibilities: Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications Maintain precise records of customer credit Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Process invoices, including branch and department allocations Maintain vendor files and collect Form W-9s for all vendors Assist in running depreciation monthly and balance total net fixed assets to the general ledger each month Determine which expenses could be considered prepaids and amortize monthly Annually, file with IRS and distribute appropriate 1099 forms to vendors Provide information and support to auditors as requested Stay up to date on any core system and AP/FA software updates. Attend classes related to job function. Skills: Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Automated Clearing House (ACH) Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is essential for this role. Demonstrated experience with Accounting Software Systems. Ability to work with Concur is a must. Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential. Experience with Accounting Functions is desirable. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. Understanding of Accrual Accounting is required. Previous experience with Auditing is desirable.
