Location: Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $76,240 - $78K

Job SummaryWe are looking for an Assistant Cafe Manager to join our team!As the Assistant Cafe Manager, you are responsible for assisting the Cafe Manager on the overall success of the Cafe. This means adhering to our user’s (partner) culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and Compass standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation. You will assist the Cafe Manager for managing the daily operations of the cafe, including selection, development, and performance management of employees. As the Assistant Cafe Manager, you will also motivate and direct all employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, and maintain a working relation with the user. The great things you will do

Set an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and that truly engages our guests

Upskill, train and develop your team

Monitor and manage all financial & budget responsibilities whilst making sure our standards are always the best

Meets all timelines for payroll, service, accounts receivables, human resources, corporate office and all other timelines given by Client and management

Create a culture of Food and Workplace Safety & ensure that all operations meet the highest standards

Attends monthly safety meetings and participates in safety inspections.

Operate Web based ordering systems, process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles

What we look for in a candidate

Minimum of 1 years of applicable experience in a like volume and quality food service establishment

Possess general hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices

We’d love a bachelor's degree but if not equivalent professional experience

Excellent communication skills - written & verbal

Proven track record of leadership with great culinary knowledge

Restaurant, hotel & events experience is definitely a plus!
