Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Front Desk Coordinator in the Museum/Art Gallery/Botanical/Zoo industry based in Mountain View, California. The role involves customer service and administrative duties to ensure smooth operations within our location.Responsibilities: Oversee the check-in process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for visitors. Provide top-notch customer service, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Manage event setup and registration to ensure successful and well-organized events. Operate the coat check during events, maintaining order and efficiency. Keep accurate records of customer interactions, processing customer applications as required. Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action as necessary. Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding vaccinations and related health guidelines, ensuring compliance within the facility. Contribute to the overall customer experience, fostering a welcoming and engaging environment. Assist with closing procedures, ensuring the facility is ready for the next day's operations. Perform additional tasks as needed to support the smooth functioning of the front desk and overall facility. Requirements Must hold a High School diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a customer-facing role is desirable. Exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor are required. Ability to manage the check-in process efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to handle difficult situations or customers calmly and professionally. Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and communication. Must meet any local health regulations, including proof of vaccination if applicable. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must have a passion for art, culture, and public engagement. Knowledge of museum, art gallery, botanical, or zoo operations is a plus. Multilingual skills are desirable but not required.
