Tax Preparer

Description We are offering a contract for a Tax Preparer role in the industry. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of handling sales tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance, and managing customer queries. Your role will be pivotal in the administration and compliance of sales tax.Responsibilities: Efficiently handle sales tax compliance and manage related documentation Assist in the collection and maintenance of sales tax certificates Manage complex registrations across multiple states Contribute to the preparation and filing of overdue and amended returns Verify and update sales tax rates for brick and mortar retail operations Maintain an organized repository of prior filings and supporting documentation Update and accurately record the opening and closure of locations Perform other related tasks as assigned.Requirements Proficiency in handling Sales Tax Experience with Sales Tax Returns Proficiency in using CCH Sales Tax software Strong understanding of Tax Compliance Processes Experience with Multi-state Tax Proficiency in Collections Extensive experience in Tax Preparation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
