IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Support - Seasonal position at its facility in Salinas, CA.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)

Proficiency with data entry and computer applications

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level

Laboratory Support duties include: media/sample, preparation, sample sorting and log-in, transcribing results, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, possible courier duties and other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50 hourly. This is a part-time position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 5:30pm. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
