Part-Time Stablehand (Weekend) - Equestrian Center

Stonepine Estate is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Stablehand to assist with weekend operations at our private equestrian center in Carmel Valley. This role is ideal for someone who loves horses, takes pride in physical work, and enjoys spending time outdoors in a peaceful and scenic environment. The position primarily covers Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional opportunities for additional weekday shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Horse Care & Stable Maintenance

Feed and water horses according to established schedules.

Clean and re-bed stalls, paddocks, and other horse areas.

Assist with turnout and bringing horses in from pastures.

Monitor horse well-being and report health or behavioral concerns to the team.

Facility & Grounds Support

Keep barns, tack rooms, and work areas clean and organized.

Assist with restocking feed, hay, and bedding materials.

Operate basic equipment (such as wheelbarrows, muck rakes, and hoses); training available for tractor use if needed.

Team Coordination

Work collaboratively with other stablehands and report to the Buildings & Grounds Manager or designated supervisor.

Follow daily task checklists and contribute to a respectful, safety-focused workplace.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in a stable or with horses preferred.

Must be dependable and punctual—weekend availability is essential.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in various weather conditions.

Friendly attitude with a calm, professional presence around horses and people.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

$17 / hour
