Qualifications
Must be able to load pallets of apple bins onto trucks accurately & safely and ensure the truck driver is happy.
This person must be able to drive safely in proximity with foot traffic and other forklift traffic
Must be accurate in counts
Able to work varying shifts, including possible holidays & weekends
Must understand the proper and safe use of a forklift
Valid California Driver’s License
Experience in safe forklift operation
Must be able to lift 40 Lbs
Operator must be able to see or hear obstacles such as other moving equipment, other personnel, and truck drivers in the operator’s vicinity
Must be able to read gauges, shift gears, depress pedals, and operate heavy equipment safely
Must be able to climb up onto and down from forklift
Must be able to work in Cold environments for long periods of time
Responsibilities
Responsible for driving a forklift into the warehouse and load onto trucks
Restack partial pallets of fresh fruit as directed
Operates the forklift to transport pallets of Fruit and other materials as directed
Refuel forklift as needed
Able to follow supervisor’s instructions
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Follow general safety rules & forklift safety program
Regular attendance required
General Maintenance
Must be able to speak English
This is seasonal work but can turn into full time work on salary if willing to work hard, show up on time and be responsible.
