This position is ideal for a college graduate in a pre-health clinician mode (ie, planning to apply to medical/PA school or related career.) This position will consist of implementing multiple projects as needed for an independent primary care practice. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by the practice founder with potential to be coached in scribing and other clinical activities, potentially including research and paper writing.
Responsibilities include:
Improving workflows in our new Electronic Health Record (EHR), allowing for understanding the entire set of functions from front office to clinician activities.
Grant implementation: Submitting progress reports for active grants and researching new funding options.
Quality Metrics: Developing processes to meet requirements from state and private payors to meet goals.
Interface with agencies looking to run pilot programs for quality improvements or other practice transformations.
Other miscellaneous team management activities to develop insight into all aspects of practice functions.
Interface with and support staff in creating new forms and workflows, assisting with day to day functions as needed, directly with patients and with back end functions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in primary care, and motivation to learn the big picture of our healthcare systems and landscape.
Bilinguality in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
A college degree is preferred, will consider those with prior experience.
