Morning shifts in a commercial kitchen at an arts institute, assisting the lead chef.
This is a 2-person team, so applicants must be willing to prep, cook, serve, clean, and re-stock as needed.
Scheduling flexibility is also a must, with shifts starting as early as 5am on weekdays and some weekends, depending on the group in residence (all shifts will be over by 2pm).
Professional kitchen experience is very helpful, but we can also teach you. A willingness to learn and a great attitude are even more important!
If hired, applicants will need to pass a CA Food Handler exam through ServSafe California (a 90-minute online course in English or Spanish, requiring a score of 70% or higher on a 40-question exam).
Hourly rate will be determined based on experience, attitude, and flexibility.
