As a Route Driver you will work with the Executive Sous Chef and the Operations Manager in the mornings for route instructions. Clean driving record is a must. Responsible for the organization and distribution of all food service supplies and meal items to field sites. Assure that meals and supplies are delivered in a safe and timely manner. Works as a MOW liaison with the field site staff.
Beyond these core responsibilities, Route Driver may be assigned additional duties and projects to support the overall mission and objectives of the community center.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Deliver food on specific routes when needed and as assigned.
Ensure prompt meal delivery.
Will support home delivered meals staff as assigned.
Maintaining cleanliness and charge of vehicles.

Capability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
Strong communication skills with staff and client base/members from various backgrounds and age groups.
Education and Training:
Prior experience with Meals on Wheels and congregate programs is highly desirable.
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
Must pass a CA DOJ background check.
2 years professional driving experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist, reach for moderate periods of time.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Kitchen with exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, wet floors, noise, and cleaning products.
